Business Introductions

Welcome a visitor and open the meeting

By the end of this lesson you can host the first few minutes of a business meeting: welcome a visitor, introduce yourself and a colleague, make one safe connection, and move into the agenda.

  • Open with a welcome that sounds warm without sounding over-familiar.
  • Introduce yourself using welcome + name + role + purpose, in your own words.
  • Introduce a colleague so the visitor knows who they are and why they are in the room.
  • Ask one respectful small-talk question, react to the answer, and ask a connected follow-up.
  • Bridge into the agenda in a way that fits how you actually speak.
