Article

On 22 and 23 August 2026, Philippine Ballet Theatre is showing Andres KKK in Makati. It is a ballet about Andres Bonifacio. A ballet is a story with music and dance. [1]

Bonifacio is an important Filipino hero. He was born in Manila in 1863. He helped start the Katipunan in 1892. This group wanted freedom for the Philippines. [2]

The story shows his life and his work for the country. It also shows hard times in his life. Bonifacio died in 1897. [1][2]

In ballet, people do not need many words. A dancer can show fear, hope, anger or love with the body. Music can also help tell the story.

Andres KKK is different from reading a history book. People can see the story on a stage. They can learn about a hero and the past in a new way.

People can learn history from books, school, movies and dance. This weekend, people can see Bonifacio's story on a theater stage.
